Open House for Visiting Educators

Open House for Visiting Educators

The Center concluded its fourth year of work with the JECEI program by hosting a visit from 30 visiting educators from Jewish schools in the Pittsburgh area. Classroom educators and Center parents answered questions about our documentation, changes in classroom environment, daily planning, project planning, and where to find the time to make it all work! Ellen Sapinkopf and the women of Ohav Shalom prepared a wonderful spread of food and drinks for our guests, including “goodie bags” to take on the bus. It was a very successful site visit, and several groups have expressed interest in revisiting our Temple to learn more about the preschool work with the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Overheard comments about the Temple and Preschool: “It’s so welcoming,” “Everything is so inviting and so clean.”
